Riccardo Pozzo M.A. Università di Milano (1983), PhD Universität des Saarlandes (1988), Habilitation Universität Trier (1995). In 1996 he went to the U.S. to teach German Philosophy at the School of Philosophy of the Catholic University of America. In 2003 he came back to Italy to take up the Chair of the History of Philosophy at the Università di Verona. In 2019, he was appointed to the Chair of the History of Philosophy at Università di Roma Tor Vergata. From 2009 to 2012, he was Director of the Institute for the European Intellectual Lexicon and History of Ideas of the National Research Council of Italy. From 2012 to 2017, he was Director of the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Cultural Heritage of the National Research Council of Italy.Currently vice-president of the Institut International de Philosophie and national expert of the horizon 2020 Program Committee Configuration Research Infrastructures.

Yoga Prasetyo straddles the divide between academia and activism. His research interests revolve around issues of human rights, gender, illegality, informality, postcolonial borders, socio-political construction of skills, & migration governance and its impacts on transnational families. In 2021, Yoga won a research grant to study internal migration in Indonesia as part of Jan Sahas' Regional Study on Internal Migration in Asia. Yoga has also contributed a chapter to the Routledge Handbook of Asian Transnationalism.

Tassya is a PhD researcher at the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, University of Surrey. Her research looks at the intersections of retirement, migration, and tourism with a specific cultural focus on Thai-American retirees. She has undertaken qualitative research in the United States and Thailand, exploring and comparing different later-life mobility practices, materialities, and experiences of Thai-American retirees.

Afzalur Rahman teaches International Relations at the University of Chittagong, Bangladesh Since July 2017. He stood first in both undergraduate and graduate programs of International Relations from the University of Chittagong respectively in 2012 and 2013. He did an MS thesis on “Irregular Migration from Bangladesh To Malaysia: Causes and Consequences”. His research interest includes irregular migration, trafficking, drug smugglings, refugees, geopolitics, international order, and international relations theories. He has presented recently two papers on Irregular Migration of Bangladeshis and Rohingyas to Malaysia at the 1st International Symposium on Migration and Diaspora (ISMD-2019) organized by the University of Malaya and another at the Migration Conference-2020 hosted by South East European University, North Macedonia.

Dr. Rakesh Ranjan is an Assistant Professor at the Centre for Development Practice and Research, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Takshila Campus, Patna. He has been working on international labour migration, remittances, Diaspora and immigrant entrepreneurship for the past eight years. He has worked with the India Centre for Migration, Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, and the Global Research Forum on Diaspora and Transnationalism, New Delhi. He also had brief stints at the Institute of South Asian Studies, National University of Singapore and the Centre for Development Studies, Trivandrum. Rakesh has recently co-authored a book with Prof. Md Mizanur Rahman on "Indian Diaspora Homeland Engagement: Education and Healthcare Sector", published by Oxford University Press.

Ekaterina R. Rashkova is Associate Professor of Comparative Politics at the Utrecht University School of Governance. Her research interests lie in the study electoral and party systems, the strategic behavior of political actors, and representation. Her current research interests include the political integration of non-citizen residents in host countries, as well as the connection of national political parties to their diaspora abroad. Her work compares new and established democracies and has appeared among others in Comparative European Politics, West European Politics, European Political Science Review, International Political Science Review, Party Politics, and Political Studies.

Policy Researcher, with PhD in Social Policy, specialising on migration politics and welfare state research. Extensive academic and non-academic research experience, including posts at the London School of Economics‘ Centre of Analysis for Social Exclusion, the policy think tank RAND Europe, UNESCO’s Institute for Educational Planning, the Expert Council of German Foundations for Migration and Integration, and capplied research ollaborations with German government institutions, such as the Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GIZ, or the Special Representative for Migration and Integration at the German Federal Chancellery. Currently Research Fellow at the German Center for Integration and Migration Research (DeZIM), a political and scientific initiative to strengthen migration research in Germany, and Research Associate at Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies, leading the particiatory research and qualitative evaluation stream of the French-German Forum for the Future, which engages with local and regional initiatives in France and Germany that strive to steer major social, economic, ecological or technological transitions in their region and to inform national policymaking.
