My research and scientific interests center on expatriation, global mobility, internationalization of HEI and cross-cultural management. I am the author of more than 120 scientific publications . To my external scientific places of work as a visiting professor belong University of Malta, University Carlos III of Madrid, Erasmus University in Rotterdam, University of Economics and Business in Prague, Henley Business School,UK). I also worked as instructor of the X-Culture Project, a large-scale international experiential learning program that involved over 3,500 students from 100 universities from 40 countries. I have been a reviewer for the International Journal of HRM, Journal of Global Mobility and Journal of Organizational Change Management.

Political scientist and migration researcher. Assistant professor at the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies of the University of Warsaw and Associated researcher at the Centre of Migration Research, University of Warsaw. Research interests: post-EU accession migrations, political integration of migrants, political remittances, employers' role in labour migrations. Before joining academia, she was a journalist for Poland's leading daily "Gazeta Wyborcza", including as its EU correspondent.

I hold a Laurea [BSc and MA equiv.] in Political Science from the University of Sassari (Italy), an MA and a PhD in International Relations from the University of Kent (UK). My research expertise cuts across the field of International Relations Theory, Migration Studies, Citizenship Studies and Critical Security Studies. My research output (all sole-authored) has appeared in leading international journals such as the Journal of Refugee Studies, Political Studies, Citizenship Studies, Third World Quarterly, Global Society, Journal of Borderlands Studies and Politics and my monograph, Rethinking International Protection, has been published with Palgrave.

Tassya is a PhD researcher at the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, University of Surrey. Her research looks at the intersections of retirement, migration, and tourism with a specific cultural focus on Thai-American retirees. She has undertaken qualitative research in the United States and Thailand, exploring and comparing different later-life mobility practices, materialities, and experiences of Thai-American retirees.

Growing up where connections are made very quickly and where a click connects everyone, I studied the Portuguese language in its global context, starting with its origin and evolutionary process.
I became an apologist for plurilinguism and multilinguism, especially in a world evolving more and more towards globalization. Nonetheless, there were still many aspects to investigate, mainly because some questions related to second language learning are now emerging. Currently, I am developing my Ph.D thesis to understand the role of the host language in the integration and inclusion processes of migrants and refugees. The main goal of this work is to facilitate te inclusion of these people and groups in the host society, trying to make the world fairer, egalitarian and equitable.
