Ravenna Sohst's research focuses on immigrant integration, social mobility and income dynamics. She is a doctoral researcher at the University of Luxembourg/LISER and has previously worked with the OECD's International Migration Division and the IOM's Global Migration Data Analysis Centre (GMDAC).

I have completed my PhD in Human Rights: Ethical, Social and Political Challenges at the University of Deusto, Bilbao. I also hold a Master's Degree in Intervention in Cases of Violence against Women by the same univeristy. As a pre-doctoral fellow I have done research affiliation at TATA Institute of Social Sciences in Mumbai, India and at the University Complutense of Madrid in Madrid, Spain. I was member of "Deusto Social Values Research Group" and of the Gender Interdisciplinary Research Platform (University of Deusto). My main areas of interest are migration, migration from Global South to Global North, women's studies and gender. I am currently working as a postdoctoral researcher at the Faculty of Law, University of Barcelona and I am member of the Local Studies Research Group.

I am Head of Research at the Migration Policy Group, Brussels, Belgium. Previously, I worked as policy officer/consultant for the European Commission (DG Employment) and the International Organisation for Migration (IOM), and as researcher for the Eindhoven University of Technology. I hold a PhD in Social Sciences from the University of Amsterdam and University of Milan-Bicocca (joint degree). My research interests include comparative integration policies (in particular, in the EU), labour market integration of migrants (e.g. migrant entrepreneurship), and social network analysis.

I am an Assistant Professor at University of Bordeaux where I am holding an "Excellence Research Chair in Population Sciences" (sponsored by IdEX Bordeaux, INED, and Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region). I initially worked at INED, AMSE, and Sciences Po where I taught "Demographic Economics", before joining the Population Studies Center of the University of Pennsylvania to work on the migrant mortality advantage.

My research interests are in spatial dynamics of socio-economic inequalities. I study how migration and residential location can shape the relative differences between groups coming from or living in different locations. My main research interest is in measuring how compositional changes related to migration drive observed aggregate trends.

Thusinta Somalingam received her PhD in Pedagogy and Education from Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz, Germany in 2015. Her doctoral research explored the construction of diaspora and the creation of ethno-national belongings through education organisations of the Sri Lankan Tamils abroad. She has previously worked as a research assistant at Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz. Currently, she is working as a lecturer and coach in a private education company and is engaged at the Research Center for Transnational Social Work in Mainz. Her primary academic interests include transnational migration, ethnic and migrant communities, Tamil Diaspora, qualitative social research and education.

I am broadly interested in the interplay of knowledge, space, memory and mediated digital and post-digital communication. In different perspectives and different research contexts, I examine these areas with a variety of questions and foci.In essence, I am interested in processes of transformation at the micro, meso and macro level.

An important part of my work is the development and adaptation of qualitative approaches. My focus is on theory generating methodologies, discourse analysis, visual and multimodal methods as well as mapping methods.

I have developed and taught courses on bachelor-, master- and PhD-level in qualitative methods, sociology, media and cultural theory and digital communication.
