The 2024 Regional Review in the Arab Region provides Member States and stakeholders an opportunity to assess their progress in implementing the objectives and guiding principles of the Global Compact for Migration, with a particular focus on regional collaboration and dialogue.

The meeting brings together Arab Member State representatives and Observers, intergovernmental organizations, United Nations bodies, specialized agencies, and funds. It is open to relevant regional stakeholders, including migrants, civil society, migrant and diaspora organizations, faith-based organizations, the private sector, elected and non-elected leaders, academics and others.

The UN Network on Migration will host a multi-stakeholder consultation on 2 July and a six-part on-line thematic consultation series is scheduled for May.

The Cairo event is the second of five Regional Reviews: the UN Economic Commission for Europe Region review was held in Geneva in March; future events will be held in Africa, Asia Pacific, and Latin America and the Caribbean.
