Key Messages and Recommendations - Reponses to the Covid-19 pandemic in the Arab Region: Vaccine rollout programs and the inclusion of migrants and refugees

The League of Arab States (LAS) and the International Organization on Migration (IOM) in partnership with the members of the Regional COVID-19 Task Force on Migration and Mobility organized a Webinar in September 2021 to shed light on the responses in the Arab Region to the COVID-19 pandemic, focusing on the efforts of governments, the vaccine rollout programs and the inclusion of migrants and refugees. This webinar aimed to highlight the best practices undertaken by Governments in the Arab region to include vulnerable groups such as migrants, refugees and people on the move in their responses, particularly within the context of the ongoing vaccination rollouts. It  also sought to foster dialogue among and within governments to exchange good practices, share key achievements and find common linkages to truly adopt a whole-of-government approach as outlined in the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration.
