I am working as researcher at the University of Bremen, Center for Labour and Political Education. My research focuses on the intersection and governance of education, training and labour market policies in Germany as well as across EU countries. I analyze labour market mobility, vocational education and training systems and validation of prior learning applying institutionalist as well as comparative approaches. In my PhD thesis, I (comparatively) analyze labour market mobility in European countries with an emphasis on governance at the intersection of skill formation and labour market integration.

Dr Olawale Lawal holds a PhD degree in Political Science from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria's premiere University. He worked with the Royal Netherlands Embassy from 1997-2005 before joining the Department of History and International Studies, Lagos State University from 2005 to date He is a senior lecturer of the Department. Dr Lawal was a member of Lagos History Project established by the former Governor of Lagos Mr. Raji Babatunde Fashola from 2012-2015 and he was a member of the Lagos State research team to the National Archives, Kews Garden, London. Olawale is a member of the newly formed Lagos State Task Force against Human Trafficking by the Governor of Lagos State. He has published 23 articles in learned journals (including the Pariah State which Wikipedia has used majorly for its publication of the term) both local and international, Chapters in 3 books and 6 works completed and waiting for publication. He has attended a number of academic conferences, some of which are: the 30th Camden Conference on Refugees and Global Migration, Maine. USA, the 19th International Academic Conference, Florence, Italy, World Conference on Climate Change Paris, France, and many conferences locally. He is a member of the Refugee Council, London. Dr Olawale Lawal is the former Deputy Director of LASU Foundation Programme. He got the Research grant of the Tertiary Education Intervention Fund to embark on the Research 'Migration Industry in Nigeria". The research has since been concluded and published. He participated in the HOMSS Migration proposal to the European Commission which engaged 15 scholars from different parts of the world. Marina Lazëri is a PhD candidate within the Becoming a Minority (BaM) project at the department of Sociology at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Her research is focused on national identity within an ethnically diverse context. She is also interested in studying social marginalization and how it relates to national identity, as well as different aspects of interethnic contact.

I hold a Business Administration Degree, from the University of Montreal – HEC, Canada, with specialization in Marketing and International Management.
I specialized in international research management and works as an expert reviewer in Research management for the European Commission. I also have recently been appointed as Network manager for the Council of European BioRegions (www.cebr.net).
Since 2004, I have worked in many different research fields such as Health, Migrations, Information and Communication Technologies, International Cooperation, and Innovation.

I am a social science researcher specialised in migration and asylum. I am currently working as a researcher in the international advocacy department at Secours Catholique Caritas France.

Elaine Lebon-McGregor is a researcher at UNU-MERIT, United Nations University and Maastricht University. Her PhD research focused on the evolution of migration as a global policy issue and the role of international organizations in this process. Her main research focus area is migration governance, with a particular interest in the role of different actors (such as national governments, local municipalities, international organizations, civil society organizations) in the governance of migration and how this has evolved over time. Other interests include policy coherence, the translation of norms across different governance levels (such as in the implementation of commitments made by States in the SDGs or the Global Compact for Migration), and the role of funding in these processes.
