Vienna Migration Conference 2022

Vienna Migration Conference 2022

The 2022 Vienna Migration Conference (VMC2022) will take place on 11-12 October. A select group of decision-makers, thought leaders and frontrunners in the migration sphere will gather in Vienna’s historic city centre for two days of lively debates on the top issues of the day. To bring the VMC to the doorstep of the wider migration community, the full programme will be streamed online on this site.

Europe is facing an unparalleled displacement challenge and, with the rest of the world, a shifting geopolitical landscape and significant economic fallout as a result of the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. The programme of the Vienna Migration Conference 2022 thus centres on the impact of Russia’s military aggression, providing a stage for frank exchange on where we now stand – and what comes next. Key decision makers discuss the consequences of current events for a variety of policy areas – including and far beyond migration and integration – and outline their visions for delivering a timely response.
