Regions for Migrants & Refugees Integration

The Regions for Migrants and Refugees Integration – REGIN Project brings together 6 European regions (Azores, Campania, Catalonia, Murcia, Puglia and Skåne) within the wider CPMR regional network and 3 technical partners (CIDOB, Instrategies and the Migration Policy Group). The Project aims to strengthen the capacities of regional authorities to promote the integration of migrants and refugees: to this end, REGIN represents an opportunity to adapt the Migrant Integration Policy Index (MIPEX)to the regional level as MIPEX-R – that stands for MIPEX-Regions – to measure the performance of integration policies and outcomes at regional level. REGIN also provides for the implementation of an innovative toolkit for regional governments, through capacity building sessions for key regional stakeholders and training for regional staff on interculturality and anti-discrimination, test beds (e.g. on health communications) and integration actions, as well as an evaluation framework and mapping of regional integration practices.
