Extending social protection to migrant workers, refugees and their families: A guide for policymakers and practitioners

This ILO guide aim to enable governments, in collaboration with social partners and other relevant stakeholders, to meet GCM objective 22, 'Establish mechanisms for the portability of social security entitlements and earned benefits' by highlighting the standards underpinning this objective, outlining means of cooperation towards addressing this objective and highlighting existing practices as examples. It also provides guidance on specific categories of migrants, gender considerations, and has a specific chapter on social protection for refugees.
