The Last Rights Project

The Last Rights Project is creating a new framework of respect for the rights of missing and dead refugees and migrants and bereaved family members. It advocates with refugee and migrant-led organisations and promotes self-advocacy, to transform research and legal principles into deliverable, real benefits and respect for human rights. It promotes dialogue, discussion and capacity building in order to develop best practices between authorities and civil society regarding the legal duties of states to identify the dead, to search for the missing and to protect the rights of their families in the context of refugee flight and other migration.
