International Labour Migration: A Rights-Based Approach

Since the GCM and specifically Objective 5 draw on ILO standards, guidelines and principles, this book is recommended for an overview of international labour migration and the ILO's efforts to protect migrant workers through a rights-based approach. It reflects on existing and potential international governance structures, addressing the linkages between migration and development, and reviews the role of the ILO's Multilateral Framework on Labour Migration in improving policy-making and international cooperation in the area of labour migration.
