Francesca Longo is full Professor of Political Science and Jean Monnet Professor of European Union Public Policies. She is PhD doctor in International Relation. Her research interests are focused on the EU migration Policy, EU policy against organised crime and the security policy of the EU. She has been a member of several international research group on the topic of the fight against organised crime and Immigration policy. She is Convenor of the Standing Group on Organised Crime – European Consortium for Political Research, member of the academic board of the “Rivista Italiana di Scienza Politica” and President of the Italian Political Science Association.

Dr. Gina Marie Longo is an assistant professor in the sociology department at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia, USA. She completed her Ph.D. in Sociology with a PhD minor in religion and ethnic violence at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and holds a Master's degree in Political Science. Her research focuses how citizens and state actors construct and police national belonging, subjectivities, and borders within the digital space. Her most recent research project investigates how U.S. citizens and state actors interpret and negotiate immigration policies through online social interaction. Her findings reveal the day-to-day, real-time practices that structure and uphold the gendered and racialized inequalities embedded in social policies. Her most recent publications can be found in Migration Politics, Gender & Society, and the Journal of Family Relations, and her work has been featured in the London School of Economic's US Centre, Mel Magazine, and Ms. Magazine.

Vítor Lopes Andrade is a doctoral researcher in Social Anthropology in the School of Global Studies, University of Sussex. He holds a Master’s in Social Anthropology (Federal University of Santa Catarina, Brazil) and an undergraduate degree in International Relations (São Paulo State University, Brazil). His Master’s thesis ‘Immigration and Sexuality: non-heterosexual asylum seekers and refugees in the city of São Paulo’ was awarded an UNHCR prize in 2017 (Terceiro Concurso de Teses de Doutorado e Dissertações de Mestrado da Cátedra Sérgio Vieira de Mello) and published as a book in 2019 (Editora da UFSC). I am an anthropologist and for more than 8 years I have been studying and working on various gender, socio-economic environmental and migration issues from different fields and angles, with the aim of transforming inequality and inequity in our region. I have worked in participatory action research, public management, consultancy, teaching and I am open to new challenges that include dialogue scenarios with multidisciplinary and multisectoral tools.

My research topic is international migration from Cuba. I analyse this phenomenon from a transnational perspective. I am currently working on a project that aims to interpret Cuban international migration from a holistic point of view based on several disciplines of the social sciences, as well as the mathematical sciences. I am interested in bringing together researchers for this purpose.

My research focuses around the subjetivities aspects of migration. I'm interested in developing konowledge from new materialism theorethical framework perspective. My experience in research has mainly been in qualitative methodology.

José David López-Blanco is currently affiliated with the Department of Social Sciences, University Carlos III de Madrid. His PhD research is related to Migration and Social Change, putting the focus on the relation between international and internal migration flows. He also advocates for a world where it is alright to teach wearing a tracksuit

I´m a Junior Professor of Intercultural Praxis with focus on Digital Cultures at the Chemnitz University of Technology in Germany. My main research focus are (Digital) Migration Studies, Social Imaginaries, Intercultural Studies, Cultural Anthropology and (Post)digitality.

My background is interdisciplinary: Dr. phil. at the Friedrich-Schiller-University Jena (Germany). M.A. in International Migration and Intercultural Relations at the University of Osnabrück (Germany), and B.A. in International Relations at the ITESO; Jesuit University of Guadalajara (Mexico).
