Locked down and in limbo: The global impact of COVID-19 on migrant worker rights and recruitment

This report addresses the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on migrant workers, based on information from 17 rapid assessments carried out under ILO labour migration projects. It documents migrant workers' loss of employment, wage theft, stranding, deportation, and exclusion from stimulus measures. The report provides recommendations to strengthen migrant workers’ protection through inclusion, equality of treatment, and fair recruitment.
