Fair Recruitment Initiative: Regional launch in Africa

Fair Recruitment Initiative: Regional launch in Africa

The ILO Regional Office for Africa in collaboration with the African Union Commission, the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC) and the International Organization of Employers (IOE) are partnering to launch the Fair Recruitment Initiative in Africa in March 2022. This launch is an opportunity to expand the implementation of successful fair recruitment approaches to other countries in Africa.

The event will begin with a high-level Experts meeting on 24 March combining technical presentations, and exchanges on promising fair recruitment practices in the region. The official launch of the FRI at Ministerial level will take place on 25 March and will be an opportunity for voluntary pledge by African countries and social partners to act through promoting fair recruitment processes and practices in the continent and to pave the way for an Africa regional strategy on fair recruitment. Full details about the event and the Fair Recruitment Initiative are available here

The event will be delivered in English and French with simultaneous interpretation.
