I am a qualitative researcher. My main area of expertise is migrant political participation. More recently, I started focussing on migrant entrepreneurship and in 2019 I conducted a small study on Greek and Italian businesses operating in the restaurant industry in the North-West of England. I would be interested in projects on political transnationalism, migrant and ethnic entrepreneurship, professional migration and migrants' cultural heritage (with a focus on food).

Sarah Scuzzarello (PhD Lund University) is Senior Lecturer at the Department of Geography and a researcher at the Sussex Centre for Migration Research (SCMR), University of Sussex (UK). Her current research focuses on gender and migration, and she adopts an intersectional lens to understand how sexuality, class and race shape migrants' experiences of mobility and settlement. Sarah’s work is interdisciplinary, drawing from politics, sociology and political psychology.

A social anthropologist based in Norway, I have conducted migration research and migration related research for over 25 years. I began by investigating the meanings of home and homeland to Vietnamese refugees in Norway, and went on to study relations between Swedish welfare institutions and refugees from Vietnam. My PhD project explored and compared how ethnic and other differences were dealt with in schools in Norway and the Netherlands. More recently, I have looked into the impact of the Dublin Regulation on the onward migration of asylum seekers in Europe. conditions for asylum seeking children in Norway, and care worker migration into Norway from different parts of the world. From 2013 to 2018, I co-led the IMISCOE research group “Contested Childhoods in times of Crises” with Elzbieta M. Gozdziak. Currently I am Research Director for Studies on childhood, families, and child protection at NOVA - OsloMet and research processes of integration and belonging for children in refugee families.

I am an Assitant Professor at the Sociology Department of the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. My research interests include inter-ethnic relations, welfare state attitudes, and migrant labor market integration. My work can be found in the Journal of Ethnic and Migration Studies, Journal of Immigrant and Refugee Studies, the Children and Youth Services Review, and the Health Sociology Review.

I'm a social worker currently working as a Research Assistant and P.hD Student at the University of Kassel/ Germany. My Ph.D. project is on Transnational Family life of Unaccompanied Refugee Minors in Germany and Social Work interventions. I'm also coordinating an evaluation study of a Labor Market Integration Program for Migrant Women. I obtained my Masters in Global Studies/Major Social Work, M.A in International Migration and Ethnic Relations, and M.A in Communication for Development.

Markéta Seidlová is researcher in the field of migration and intercultural studies. Her work focuses on immigration and integration policies, integration of immigrants, immigrant insertion in the labour market and spatial distribution of immigrants. Most of her work is based on comparative analysis of studied cities and/or regions/countries, like between France and the Great Britain or France and Canada.

Migration expert with regional focus on Asia, experienced sociologist with a demonstrated history of working in the academic research industry. Skilled in social research methods with particular focus on qualitative research methodologies, writing and editing.
Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Sociology from the National University of Singapore and a Master's degree in Development Studies from the University of Vienna (Austria). Focus on the study of migration, the migration industry, children&youth, ethnic identities. Always eager to broaden her research horizon.

Fluent in English, French and German, conversational in Japanese. Proven project management skills by conducting her own doctoral research project and organising academic events internationally. Accumulated publishing experience as an editorial assistant, editor and author published in peer-reviewed journals. Experience in handling organizational and administrative procedures, familiar with applying for grants, and experience with NGO work.
