Gabriella Elgenius is Professor of Sociology at the University of Gothenburg. She joined the Department of Sociology and Work Science in 2014. Gabriella is Associate Member of the Department of Sociology at the University of Oxford and a Fellow of the RSA. Gabriella received her doctorate from the London School of Economics as a Marie Curie Fellow in 2005, and have held a British Academy post-doc fellowship at the University of Oxford and Nuffield College (2007-2011). She was a lecturer at the University of London and the University of Oxford 2000-2014. Gabriella's research interests include civil society's role for integration and inclusion in socioeconomically and diverse neighborhoods, labor market integration, nationalism and the radical right. Her projects combine theoretical and empirical comparative designs using mixed-methods i.e. qualitative and quantitative methodologies across countries and multi-cited locations.

Dr. Eliyahu-Levi is the head of the Hebrew language high school department and the head of the Hebrew department – language and literacy at the primary school in the Levinsky College of Education.
She is cooperating teacher and researcher at the Hebrew language, education and immigration in Israel and throughout the world, and implementation of finding in the field. Her research focuses on multiculturalism and multi-linguistic issues, on developing intercultural competence, and on designing learning-teaching processes based on the principles of emotional-social learning. Dr. Eliyahu-Levi teaches courses on discourse analysis, rhetoric discourse practice, cultural-social resilience of minority communities, and teaching a second language in formal and informal education.

Nerea Amorós Elorduy, M.Arch, PhD. is an architect, urbanist, and researcher with extensive experience in sustainable education and health projects with an emphasis on community participation and populations affected by displacement. Prior to founding her current practice – the Kampala-based think-and-do tank Creative Assemblages (2019) – she earned a PhD (UCL 2018), taught and contributed to creating the School of Architecture at the University of Rwanda (2011-2014) and co-founded ASA Studio based in Kigali (2012-2014). Her current practice, teaching and research focus on how the architectural and urban environments affect young children’s learning, populations affected by displacement, and holistic sustainability. Her work and that of her teams has been awarded, exhibited, and published internationally.

I am a Ph.D. Candidate in Sociology at Koç University in Turkey. My dissertation focuses on cross-border mobility and trade, particularly examining the construction of masculinities at the intersections of border, exchange, and gender.

I’m a Research Professor in Migration Studies at the Peace Research Institute Oslo (PRIO). My disciplinary background is in Geography, and my overarching research focus is on the dynamics of migration and transnationalism, in both contexts of emigration and of immigration. My research spans different categories of migrants, including refugees, labour migrants and return migrants, and includes the perspectives of migrants, non-migrant populations, and state actors in emigration and immigration contexts.

Merve Erdilmen is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Political Science with Gender Studies Specialization at McGill University. Her research has been supported by Mitacs Globalink, Centre for the Study of Democratic Citizenship (CSDC), Local Engagement Refugee Research Network, and Women in International Security (WIIS). She was also a research associate at at GLOBALCIT at the European University Institute. Her areas of research are gender and migration policies, international practices of refugee regime in the Middle East, and political rights of migrants and refugees. Merve's research has been published in the Journal of Ethnic and Migration Studies.

I am currently a PhD candidate in English Language Teaching Program, Language Studies Track at METU, Turkey. My research interests lie at the nexus of sociolinguistics, linguistic ethnography and critical discourse studies. I primarily focus on politics of linguistic identity in migratory and minority contexts; discourses around migration in online and offline settings; return migration; gender, sexuality and language; new media discourses. I am the coordinator of the Discourse and Corpus Research Group (DISCORE) at METU .
