Raffaella Pagogna is a doctoral candidate and lecturer at the Department of Geography and Regional Research at the University of Vienna, Austria. Her research primarily centers around migration infrastructures, governance, and decision-making processes. With a keen interest in comprehending the spatial and social implications of migration, she has conducted fieldwork in Ethiopia and Thailand.

Giacomo Palermo is a photojournalist and unconventional visual communicator working on sociological and humanitarian research in the Mediterranean area. He has collaborated as a photographer with Getty Images Inc., Touring Club Italia, Majority World CIC - Global - Photo Agency, The MEGA Agency, GEDI S.p.a Gruppo Editoriale, La Repubblica, National Geographic Italia, La Sicilia, La Discussione, Aleteia.org, America Oggi, La Voce di New York and other international magazines. He is a volunteer missionary at the "Speranza e Carità" O.n.l.u.s. mission in Palermo founded by his lay brother Biagio Conte. Winner in 2015 of the Special Prize of the "Federazione Italiana Associazioni Fotografiche" dedicated to the most influential Italian humanitarian photographer Tina Modotti. In 2021 his project entitled "TerrA MAGNUM (Mediterraneo)" was included in "The Magnum Connect Program" of the most important and prestigious photo agency in the world, Magnum Photos. He has exhibited in photography group shows such as the "International Centre of Photography" in Palermo founded by Letizia Battaglia.

Teresa Pallarés-Ramos is a Brussels-based migration policy analyst and PhD candidate in Migration Studies at Comillas University, Spain. Her doctoral research examines the economic integration of youth migrants at the regional level in Spain, focusing on the utilisation of EU funding mechanisms in this context. With over a decade of professional experience, Teresa specialises in migration, youth empowerment, and educational capacity building.

Dr. Monika Palmberger is Senior Research Fellow at the Department of Social and Cultural
Anthropology at the University of Vienna, Austria, and Associate Research Fellow at the
Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology at the University of Leuven, Belgium. Her
research focuses on labour migration and forced migration, digital ethnography, memory and transnational care. She is author of the book "How Generations Remember: Conflicting Histories and Shared Memories in Post-War
Bosnia and Herzegovina" (2016) and coeditor of the books and "Memories on the Move: Experiencing Mobility,
Rethinking the Past" (2016), "Care across Distance: Ethnographic Explorations of Aging and Migration" (2018).
