Alessio Buonomo, is a temporary research fellow at the University of Naples Federico II. He is part of the editorial board of the Rivista Italiana di Economica, Demografia e Statistica (RIEDS). He obtained his PhD in School of Statistical Sciences (Demography) from the Department of Statistics at the University of Rome La Sapienza. He completed the program European Doctoral School in Demography (EDSD) at the University Warsaw School of Economics (ESG) in Poland, after successfully passing the preparatory courses at the Max Palnk Institute for demographic research in Rostock (Germany). He did also a transnational visiting grant at the Centre for Demographic Studies (CED) in Barcellona for the In-Grid2 project. Alessio's main research interests are migration, education, employment and political participation of natives and individuals with migratory background. Specifically he studied characteristics and determinants of migration (internal and international) of nationals and foreigners. He has also conducted research on school enrollment and early school leaving, in particular focusing on foreigners and second generation. Furthermore, he studied social and psychological aspects of the labor integration of the population with migratory background.

Merve Burnazoglu is an Assistant Professor of Philosophy, Politics and Economics as part of the Applied Economics Section at the Utrecht University School of Economics. She works mainly on political economy, and philosophy and methodology of economics and applies it to migration and integration. She is also a Mercatus Center Adam Smith Fellow at George Mason University; coordinates research on Social Economics at the European Association for Evolutionary Political Economy (EAEPE).

Annalisa Busetta is Associate Professor in Demography at the University of Palermo. She has published in the areas of marginality
and integration of refugees and mmigrants, measures of chronic poverty, and multidimensional vulnerability. She is member of the Scientific Committee of the
Interdepartmental Research Center on Migrations of the University of Palermo (CIR Migrare).

Sema Buz is a professor at Hacettepe University Department of Social Work. She is also director of Hacettepe University Migration and Politics Research Center (HUGO). She completed her MA and PhD thesis about asylum seekers in Turkey. She have publications related women an migration, integration of refugees, social cohesion, Afghan refugees, climate refugees, internal and international migration.

Research focus: Langauge discordant public service provision, relations between the state and linguistic minorities. Linguistic oppression, linguicism and the intersection of this and other forms of discrimination.

Yuliya Byelikova is a Research Fellow at the The Max Planck Institute for the Study of Religious and Ethnic Diversity . She is an activist, expert on media and gender issues, trainer in Internews, USAID, GIZ and U-LEAD projects on anti-discrimination, media literacy and inclusion. Yuliya holds a PhD in social sciences, in 2007-2023 years worked as the associate professor of Social Communications Department at Kharkiv National University of Economics, alumna of the Open World Leadership Center program, member of the Sociological Association of Ukraine, and the Independent Media Union of Ukraine and the Committee Against Misogynist Industrial Advertising. She is the author of more than 80 scientific and educational publications in the field of gender theory, advertising, media communication, emotional leadership and methodology of opinion research. Currently located in Dresden.

Dr. Sadhbh Byrne is Postdoctoral Research Fellow on the REFUGE-ED project, based at Trinity Centre for Global Health. REFUGE-ED is funded by the European Commission Horizon 2020 programme, and seeks to identify, implement, and evaluate existing evidence-based practices that promote the inclusion, mental health, sense of belonging, and academic achievement of children and young people who are refugees, asylum seekers, or separated minors. Specifically, the project is interested in practices that can be implemented in (formal, non-formal and informal) educational settings. The project will involve co-design with children, families, teachers, practitioners, policymakers and other relevant stakeholders.

Sadhbh received a BA (Hons) in Psychology and a Postgraduate Certificate in Statistics from TCD. Prior to her current position, she worked with Associate Prof. Jo Robinson on the youth suicide prevention research team at Orygen/the Centre for Youth Mental Health, The University of Melbourne, Australia. At Orygen, Sadhbh primarily worked on the Multimodal Approach to Preventing Suicide in Schools (MAPSS) study. This large-scale project is ongoing, and involves educating approximately 4,000 students in secondary schools across north and west Melbourne about how to identify suicide risk in themselves and their friends, screening students to identify suicide risk, and delivering treatment to those young people identified as being at risk.

Sadhbh completed her PhD at TCD under the supervision of Assistant Prof. Lorraine Swords and Associate Prof. Elizabeth Nixon, supported by a competitive scholarship from the Irish Research Council. Her PhD research explored the role that parents and peers play in identifying early signs and symptoms of adolescent depression, and supporting young people in distress.

Her research interests centre on youth mental health. She has a keen interest in participatory and co-design approaches to research, and the importance of engaging a young person's family and friends in supporting their mental health (the 'social scaffold').
