Petra Aigner is Associate Professor at the Institute of Sociology, Department of Empirical Social Research (AES), at Johannes Kepler University (JKU), Linz (Austria). Her research interests relate to migration studies, specifically integration processes, labour market integration, ethnic entrepreneurship, refugee studies, and qualitative methods.

Olayinka Akanle (PhD). holds degrees in Sociology. He is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Sociology, Faculty of The Social Sciences, University of Ibadan, Nigeria and a Senior Research Associate of the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Humanities, University of Johannesburg, South Africa. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the South African Research Chair Initiative (SARChI) in Social Policy, College of Graduate Studies, University of South Africa (UNISA), South Africa. He has won other scholarly awards like being a World Social Science Fellow (WSSF) of The International Social Science Council (ISSC), Paris, France, Laureate of the Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa (CODESRIA), Dakar, Senegal and University of Ibadan, Nigeria Postgraduate School Prize for scholarly publication awardee. He is a recipient of Folke Bernadotte Academy, Swedish Agency for Peace, Security and Development, Sweden’s Certificate of Achievement. He is a scholar and expert on International Development, Migration and Diaspora Studies, Social Policy, Gender, Child and Youth Studies. He has published extensively in reputable journals, books and encyclopedia among others. He is the co-editor of The Development of Africa: Issues, Diagnosis and Prognosis (Springer, 2018) and Corruption and Development in Nigeria (Routledge, 2022). He is the sole editor of Youth Exclusion and Empowerment in the Contemporary Global Order: Contexts of Economy, Education and Governance (Emerald, 2022) and Youth Exclusion and Empowerment in the Contemporary Global Order: Existentialities in Migrations, Identity and the Digital Space (Emerald, 2022). Hi, I am Ali, a computational social scientist with background in sociology.

I’m currently working on themes related (but not limited) to science of science, scholarly migration, social networks, collaboration networks, and of course computational social science. I’m looking forward to collaborate on research ideas close to these themes, using computational tools and techniques to answer social scientific questions. I am @akbaritabar on Twitter.

Omoye Mary Akhagba holds a doctorate degree in Sociology from the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Warsaw, Poland. Her doctoral research focused on the social and cultural aspects of cervical cancer screening among Nigerian women living in Poland. She has also volunteered in several developmental and integrational projects in African and Europe.

Mustafa Aksakal currently works at the Faculty of Sociology, Bielefeld University. Mustafa does research in Internnational Migration, Political Sociology, Political Economy and Social Theory.
