Nikita Gehlot has an M.Phil. Degree (2018), and she is currently doing a PhD in Political Geography at the Jawaharlal Nehru University of New Delhi. Her research studies narratives of border crossing by Rohingya Refugee Women living in India to reflect on how the categories of citizenship and statelessness are understood from the perspective of women migrants in the context of Forced Migration and Gender-Based Violence. Nikita is particularly interested in citizenship, statelessness, women, border crossing, forced migration, gender-based violence.

Dirk Geldof is professor of Sociology at the Faculty of Design Sciences at the University of Antwerp. He is senior Researcher at the Centre of Family Studies (Odisee University of Applied Sciences Brussels). His research focuses on superdiversity and majority-minority cities in Belgium, and on refugees and asylum policies in Belgium.

I am a Social Anthropologist and Youth Worker always interested in exploring the overlaps between the two domains. My PhD research was concerned with young people in the Guatemalan diaspora in Southern Mexico and I am currently working on the AIMEC project exploring 'arrival infrastructures' of migrants in East London. Generally I am interested in topics around diaspora, memory and storytelling especially in regard to youth and intergenerationality. In my ethnographic practice I intend to combine youth and community work methods and principles with those of ethnographic research.

Dr. Eda Gemi is a political sociologist specialized in governance of migration in Southeast Europe and Western Balkans. She is Associate Professor at the University of New York Tirana where she holds the positions of the Head of the Law Department and the Director of ICL Master Program.
Dr. Gemi is Senior Researcher at the Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP), where, from 2012 to 2016, she held the position of the Head of Migration Unit. She currently serves as national expert at the OECD Network of International Migration Experts in preparing the annual OECD report of International Migration Outlook. She is also member of Steering Committee of the Euro-Mediterranean Research Network on Migration (EuroMedMig). Dr. Gemi has authored a series of books on migration, integration, transnationalism, return and mobility in Southeast Europe, and EU-Western Balkan migration system. Her recent publications entitled “Rethinking Migration and Return in Southeastern Europe: Albanian Mobilities to and from Italy and Greece” and “Integration and transnationalism in a comparative perspective: The case of Albanian immigrants in Vienna and Athens” have been published by the Routledge and the Austrian Academy of Science, respectively. She has published articles in refereed journals (e.g., Ethnicities, International Review of Sociology), and book volumes (e.g., Oxford University Press, Routledge).
