Youth Lead: Children & Youth Engagement in the Implementation of the Global Compact for Migration

This side event will highlight and discuss the role of children and youth in the implementation of the Global Compact for Migration, and the importance of consulting, collaborating, empowering and engaging them as change agents in ways that enhances their ability to participate in innovation and decision-making processes.

Combining key voices engaging youth and children, and centering youth and child self-representation, this side event will feature an interactive panel of stakeholders and UN agencies, to discuss progress and challenges in solidifying the role of youth and children in the GCM, and recommendations on how to further meaningful engagement and participation.
