Increasing awareness of migrant workers' rights

TENTATIVE DEADLINE OF IMPLEMENTATION:
SATUCC GCM pledge

The Southern Africa Trade Union Coordination Council (SATUCC) affiliates pledge to increase awareness of migrant workers’ human and labour rights through the production of a guide for migrant workers and the organization of awareness-raising campaigns (in particular through social media, podcasts and radio) in at least 5 countries (Lesotho, Seychelles, South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe) of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region. These activities will be undertaken in collaboration with ILO, IOM and UNHCR (SAMM project) and national trade unions by the fourth quarter of 2022.

*References to Kosovo shall be understood to be in the context of United Nations Security Council resolution 1244 (1999).
