Art. 6 - Al Director o Directora General, además de las funciones establecidas en la Ley, le corresponde las siguientes atribuciones: […] l) Autoriza Visa Humanitaria a los extranjeros que requieran de protección contra devolución, en aquellos casos en los que esta si se practicase, pudiera conllevar la violación de obligaciones generales de no devolución contenida en Tratados Internacionales de los que Nicaragua es parte. Así mismo gestionará apoyo ante los Organismos Internacionales para la asistencia humanitaria de estos.
