The policy aims to “protect persons of concern from further forced displacement, provide protection and assistance during displacement, and find a durable solution to their displacement.”

In this policy, the Federal Government of Somalia commits itself to: (...) b. as far as possible, protecting its people from any kind of displacement including arbitrary displacement, development-induced displacement, forced evictions and natural disasters;
