National Projects related to enhancing migrants financial literacy and financial inclusion

During COVID-19 digital literacy is important to bring migrants into the mainstream financial system. IOM has been involved in a range of financial literacy programs aimed at addressing migrants and their family’s financial wellbeing and improving knowledge of the financial gains arising from migration e.g. remittances, savings etc. These initiatives have been implemented in both sending and receiving countries including between 2018-2020 in Burundi, Bangladesh, Belarus, Cambodia, Cameroon, China, Columbia, Costa Rica, Egypt, Finland, Georgia, Guinea, Kenya Morocco, Mozambique, Myanmar, Nepal, Philippines, Nigeria, Romania, Spain, Sudan, Tanzania, UK, Uzbekistan.
