This workstream seeks to promote the implementation of Guidance on Regular Pathways for Admission and Stay for Migrants in Situations of Vulnerability and to foster human rights-based action on pathways at the regional and country levels. It also aims at strengthening the focus on pathways in the implementation and review of the GCM, including in the work of other UN Network’s workstreams, and ensuring a coherent approach.  

i. Identification of 1-2 national or regional context(s) that presents opportunities for the implementation of the Guidance Note on Regular Pathways for Admission and Stay for Migrants in Situations of Vulnerability

ii. Provision of technical advice and support to Member States/National UN Network(s), CSOs and other relevant stakeholders for the operationalization of the Guidance Note in these context(s)

iii. Identification of opportunities for strengthening the focus on pathways in GCM implementation and review (for instance: reporting to regional reviews, Migration MPTF funding proposals, Champion Countries’ initiatives, development of effective indicators for measuring pathways-related measures by member states
