A policy-oriented commitment on Objective 18 by City of Taguig, the Philippines
TENTATIVE DEADLINE OF IMPLEMENTATION:31 December 2026
Taguig City committed to provide scholarships to its constituents in coordination with Department of Migrant Workers, the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) and other academic institutions to educate and train those who wish to migrate or who have returned and wish to remigrate to have high skilled professions that are needed in countries of destination to ensure their safe, orderly, and regular migration. High-skilled workers are less likely subjected to abuse and have the genuine choice whether or not to migrate. Hence, migration becomes a choice and not an act of desperation.
