Strengthening collaboration and dialogue between the UNMN in Mexico, civil society and other stakeholders around the implementation of the GCM and migratory governance.

TENTATIVE DEADLINE OF IMPLEMENTATION:

The UNMN in Mexico seeks to adopt a commitment aimed at fostering dialogue and permanent collaboration with NGOs and other stakeholders on the implementation of the GCM, as well as the strengthening of the migration governance through the following actions:



a) Facilitate spaces for dialogue and consultation to identify and integrate the perspectives and priorities of civil society and other interested parties in the scope of the discussions ahead of the International Migration Review Forum (IMRF).

b) According to the Network's Terms of Reference, establish a permanent coordination mechanism between the UNMN in Mexico with NGOs and other interested parties to promote collaboration and joint work on migration issues, as well as maintain a constant dialogue and exchange.

c) Identify shared challenges and opportunities for collaboration between the UNMN, NGOs, and other interested parties for the development of projects on migration from a whole-of-society approach that contributes to the fulfillment of the GCM, as well as the strengthening of migration governance.

Within the 2023 calendar of activities of the national network for migration in Mexico, the consolidation of a mechanism for collaboration and permanent dialogue with civil society organizations has been stipulated. This activity will have two stages:

1. January-August: (consolidation of the mechanism)

2. August-December: (Implementation of the mechanism).
