TRANSLATION -

The persistence of the drought has led to a strong migration of populations from the North to the South of the country, but also the practice of rain-fed agriculture in the lowlands and in the floodable valleys of rivers and backwaters, particularly for rice cultivation.(...)

Advocacy should emphasize the preparation strategy of the different sectors, promote the participation of the community and affected people, fight discrimination so that vulnerable groups (women, children, the elderly, the disabled, people living with HIV / AIDS) , displaced persons and migrants) are not excluded, make assistance transparent, strengthen local capacities and also initiate the recovery of the population.
