DIRECT SPECIFIC - Strategic intervention area includes participation of migrants in disaster risk reduction at the local level. It provides for the development of guiding principles to address human mobility due to disasters and transboundary migration. It advocates for regular disaster preparedness and response and recovery exercises, including evacuation drills and training. It also calls for the establishment of area-based support systems to ensure rapid and effective response to disasters and related displacement.
