Global warming and climate change is one of the most serious threats to the global environmental sustainability today. Abnormal weather conditions and the unexpected natural disasters such as floods, droughts, dust and sand storms cause death or displacement of many people especially the poor.

The increasing burden of natural disasters and various conflicts in many Member States necessitate strengthening joint Islamic Humanitarian Action, developing adequate disaster response mechanisms, and enhancing Member States’ resilience against disasters by developing integrated and inclusive measures that reduce vulnerability to disaster and increase preparedness for response and recovery.

Promote the exchange of information and best practices as well as strategies, polices and experiences in the area of occupational safety and health, employment, social protection and migration, with a view to promoting a culture of prevention and control of occupational hazards.
