Meet the Experts: Why is Labour Migration a big deal?

Max Tuñón, Labour Migration Specialist, explains why migration for work can prove to be a win-win for both origin and destination countries. Destination countries benefit from migration by filling in the gaps in labour market. And they also relieve some of the unemployment and underemployment issues. Countries of origin benefit from remittances - take for instance India which receives the largest remittance in the South Asian region, a whopping 72 billion USD. Meet the Expert video interview series introduces the various experts and specialists working at the ILO Decent Work Team for South Asia and Country Office for India.
