Implementation of the entire 23 GCM Objectives

TENTATIVE DEADLINE OF IMPLEMENTATION:
During the launch of the NCM in the Gambia in December 2019, a GCM prioritization exercise was conducted where the Government of The Gambia prioritized 15 out of the 23 objectives as areas of priority for the short and medium time frame. However, the recent national voluntary review concluded in April 2022 revealed that the Gambia has reported on all the 23 objectives being pursued by eight technical working groups under the NCM. In view of the above, The Gambia pledges to develop an implementation plan for the implementation of the entire 23 objectives by 2026. The Government recognizes the fact that the practical implementation of many aspects of GCM will continue to involve multiple partners including international organizations, civil society, diaspora organizations, private sector and others. The government will therefore strengthen its role as an enabler and facilitator for enhanced implementation of GCM objectives.
