The ILO (International Labour Organization) global “Fair Recruitment Initiative” (FRI) aims at: helping prevent human trafficking; protecting the rights of workers, including migrant workers, from abusive and fraudulent practices during the recruitment and placement process; reducing the cost of labour migration and enhance development gains. The centerpiece of the FRI are the General Principles and Operation Guidelines for Fair Recruitment and Definition of Recruitment Fees and Costs. A variety of capacity building and guidance tools, grounded on international standards and targeted to for different audiences have bene developed and are available in the thematic webpage.
