Migration in West & North Africa and across the Mediterranean

This edited volume provides a comprehensive, fact-based account of migration from and within West and North Africa and across the Mediterranean from 2019- 2020, with the aim of promoting more coherent, forward-looking and sustainable policy approaches, in line with the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration. It equips policymakers and practitioners in Africa and Europe with an up-to-date, consolidated picture of key aspects of migration in these regions – recent trends and data issues, development implications, risks and vulnerabilities, as well as national, regional and cross-regional governance elements.
