I am Emmanuel Aweda, a PhD research candidate working on evaluation of climate change-induced migration along the Savanna and coastal regions of Nigeria with a view to modelling and projecting these migration drivers based on climate change scenarios. I am open to meetings, discussions, interdisciplinary collaborations and volunteer opportunities.

Bilgin Ayata is University Professor for Southeast European Studies at the University of Graz. She is director of the NOMIS Research Project "Elastic Borders: Rethinking the Borders of the 21st Century" and co-speaker of the Cluster "Migration, Mobility and Borders" at the University of Graz. Further third party research projects include "Affective Citizenship: Religion, Migration and Belonging" (funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation, 2018-2021) and "Infrastructure Space and the Future of Migration Management" (funded by the Swiss Network for International Studies, 2018-2021). Her research centres on socio-political transformations with a focus on migration, borders, citizenship, affect and emotions and postcolonial studies. Ayata was the DFG Mercator Fellow at the SFB Affective Societies from 2019-2023 and is Co-President of the Swiss-Turkey Research Association.

Dr. Tugba Aydin Halisoglu is an Assistant Professor at Tarsus University, Department of Political Science and Public Administration. She obtained her BA and MA degrees in Public Administration at Akdeniz University and her Ph.D. in Political Theory at Luiss Guido Carli University. Her academic interests are in the fields of nationalism, migration, citizenship, and European Union and Turkey relations.

“Maysa Ayoub is Political Sociologist specialized in Migration and Refugee Studies. She has over fifteen years of experience in research and teaching in the field of International Migration. At present, she holds the position of the Associate Director of the Center for Migration and Refugee Studies (CMRS) of the American University in Cairo (AUC). She has a PhD in Political Science from the Faculty of Economics and Political Science of Cairo University and an MA in Sociology as well as a post-graduate diploma in Migration studies from the American University in Cairo. Her PhD thesis analyzed the relationship between migration policies, public opinion, and media comparatively examining the policy response of European countries in the face of the Syrian refugee crisis of 2015. She researched and taught courses on Migration Policies, Integration and livelihoods of minorities, Diaspora and Transnationalism, Social problems in the Middle East and the Arab World, and Qualitative Research methodologies”
