I am a PhD candidate in the Department of International Relations at Kadir Has University, Turkey. I am also a researcher at the Institute of International Relations (IDIS) based in Athens. My research focuses on border security and migration in the EU while assessing its impact on transit countries, most notably Turkey in the post-Arab Spring period.

I am a senior student in the Department of Law at Turkish-German University. So far, I have been interested primarily in politics, migration, memory, justice, urban history, and oral history in some prestigious civil societies such as Aydın Dogan Foundation, Beraberce, and Karakutu. I attended courses and training at the Friedrich Naumann Foundation, Friedrich Ebert, and DVV International. In the Summer of 2022, I completed "RSC Pathways" at Oxford University's Refugee Studies Center with distinction. I've focused on immigration, statelessness, and international law in recent years. I speak German, Kurdish, Turkish, and English.

Meghann Ormond is Associate Professor in Cultural Geography at Wageningen University & Research in The Netherlands. She's deeply invested in and concerned with how differently-mobile people's roots, rights and vulnerabilities are recognised and included in the places they visit and in which they live. Her research focuses mainly on how shifting visions and practices of citizenship and belonging transform transnational mobility, heritage, health and care relationships and practices.

Senior Assistant Professor in Demography at the University of Bologna & head of the Statistic Unit of ISMU Foundation in Milan, Italy. Associate Editor of BMC Public Health. Primary research interests: Migration Studies, Refugee Studies, Female Genital Mutilations, Gender, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Fertility.

Nermin Oruc holds PhD degree in Economics from Staffordshire University, UK. He has 8 years of teaching experience from local universities, where he taught Econometrics, Research Methods, Labour Economic and Economic Development, as well as more than 10 years of experience in leading and participating in research projects. He was also employed as a consultant on a number of projects with World Bank, IOM, UNDP, and other organisations. His research interests include migration, labour market analysis, poverty and inequality. He was awarded teaching fellowship by the CERGE-EI Prague for the period 2012-2015 and InGRID visiting fellowship to ISER, University of Essex. Nermin is currently Coordinator of the Western Balkans Migration Network and leader of the national team for BiHMOD, a micro-simulation model for tax and benefits policies in BiH, based on EUROMOD.
