Implementing well-planned and evidence-based migration policies through the development and regular updating of the Migration Profile of Azerbaijan

In accordance with Objective 1 of the GCM, Azerbaijan has regularly compiled Migration profiles consisting of statistical data covering different directions of migration. Migration Profile is a relevant tool to create evidence-based and effective policymaking in migration and to support the proper implementation of policy processes adapted to the national reality and priorities.

In this regard, Azerbaijan is committed to continue its efforts to implement well-planned and evidence-based migration policies through updated Migration Profile covering data for 2013-2021.

The Migration Profile will present the available data on migration, discuss to the possible extent the impact of migration on the development of Azerbaijan from a macro-level perspective in future also including migration systems in the regional and context, and outline the ongoing policies, programs and structures in relation to migration.
