Strengthened partnership with the Philippine Government and Society

TENTATIVE DEADLINE OF IMPLEMENTATION:
As the UN Network on Migration Philippines, we will continue to promote Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration in partnership with the Philippine government and the people of the Philippines towards an inclusive and accelerated path for the achievement of the SDGs and COVID-19 recovery. As a global champion of the GCM, the UN Network will continue to support the Philippines in their promotion and articulation of the Global Compact for Migration in the national development frameworks: the Philippine Development Plan 2023-2028 and Ambisyon Natin 2040 (25-year long-term vision for development). We will strengthen the partnership across sectors and widen the network of migration stakeholders and offer a coherent UN system-wide support and expertise, to promote safe migration and decent work for migrants to ensure a whole-of-government and whole-of-society approach. Most importantly, we will ensure voices of migrants and their human rights are at the centre of our work and partnership with the Government of the Philippines.
