Support the implementation of partnerships for development-oriented labour migration

TENTATIVE DEADLINE OF IMPLEMENTATION:
Germany supports partnerships for development-oriented vocational training and labour migration with a strong focus on a multi-stakeholder approach. Within those programmes, scalable mobility schemes with Ecuador, Kosovo, Nigeria, Vietnam and Germany are developed. These will be tested by preparing graduates and professionals (at least 40% women) and placing them with German employers for vocational training or work. Interested stakeholders for the implementation of skills and mobility schemes with further partner countries will be identified.

The aim of these partnerships is to improve the quality of vocational education and training in the partner countries as well as supporting the preparation of people interested in migration and their placement with German employers. In this way, partner countries can profit from a knowledge transfer as well as additional qualified workers. Graduates from partner countries benefit from an upgraded qualification and employment perspectives on the local labour market or in Germany. Employers in Germany profit from suitably qualified and prepared skilled workers.
